Make AI Sound Human Again – Mostly

Posted on 23 Jan at 2:00 pm

TLDR:

  • I trained my BrandAI to write in my own style, but parts still felt artificial.

  • I created a prompt that removes patterns that make AI writing obvious.

  • You can use the same method to make your content sound real and personal.

I have written four books and thousands of posts. Writing has always felt natural to me. Then AI started writing faster and cleaner than I could. The problem wasn’t quality. It was tone, style and voice. AI writing often feels detached.

So I built a prompt that strips away what I call the “AI polish.” It removes habits like repetitive sentence rhythms, overuse of transitions, and phrases that sound machine-made. You can add this prompt to your custom GPT or use it before publishing any AI-assisted draft.

Here is the process. Start with your heart. Write from your experience and values. Use AI to organize and refine your ideas. Then apply the cleanup prompt to clear away anything that doesn’t sound like you. Finally, review it once more and replace any word you wouldn’t normally use.

This simple method keeps your voice strong and saves time.

This matters because authentic writing connects people. When your content sounds human, it builds trust and keeps your message clear. Helping businesses that do good do even good-er.
